Overview
MPower is the leading provider of innovative and dependable power solutions in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. The MPower Group of companies consists of MPower Projects Pty Ltd, MPower Products Pty Ltd, MPower Pacific Ltd and MPower Solar Systems Pty Ltd. With a history that extends over 100 years, MPower provides a diverse range of power solutions and products for every purpose.
We deliver a vast range of products and solutions to an equally diverse customer base in the green energy, domestic, commercial, oil & gas, industrial, utilities, defence and mining sectors. Our Solutions encompass power generation, power storage, backup power and power conversion.
Combining solid history with future vision
MPower has a long and solid history of providing power related products, systems and solutions allowing us to service the most demanding power needs. MPower group member MPower Projects was established in 1984 followed by MPower Products in 1995. Considerable growth has occurred since then due to a combination of solid market and product expansion, coupled with strategic acquisitions. In 1999, we acquired Nikko and Westpower. This was followed shortly after by MPower Pacific, M+HBardic Emergency Lighting, the acquisition of MPower Projects in 2005 and most recently the acquisition of MPower Solar Systems in 2010.

Paul Sharp

Paul Sharp is an original founding Director of MPower Products which was established in 1995 and has been a director since.
Prior to MPower Products Paul has been in the broader Power Industry for over 30 years in a variety of roles focusing on business development. Paul has a Diploma in Management from the David Syme Faculty of Monash University.
Anthony Csillag
Managing Director

Anthony Csillag has over 32 years of experience in the Energy and Process Control Industries. Anthony has Trade and Electrical engineering qualifications supplemented by an International Marketing/Information Technology Degree and MBA, majoring in Finance and General Management.
Anthony started his career in an electrical trades role in the heavy manufacturing sector at Comalco, he progressed through the industrial process control automation revolution of the 80's in an engineering capacity joining NEI PAKLOG in 1983 and was involved in some of the major power and mining projects of the time including, Hamersley Iron, and the Erraring, Bayswater and Tarong Power Stations. Having joined GEC in 1986 in an engineering support role, Anthony took on many management roles through the evolution of GEC through to GECALSTOM, CEGELEC and finally ALSTOM, 18 years in total. These roles covered product and project management with exposure to various industries from food, power generation, mining and rail. Notable projects included Cadbury Schweppes conch lines, North Parkes Gold mine, Haypoint Stacker reclaimers, BHP blast furnace and strip line upgrades as just a small sample of the projects encountered.
Anthony joined MPower Projects as Managing Director in 2004. Having spent 18 years in a large multinational corporation he has gradually introduced many of the systems, cultures and processes associated with the major multinationals projects and products companies, moving the traditional businesses to greater value add propositions such as oil & gas and green energy power systems.
Dwayne Lange
Managing Director
MPower Solar Systems Pty Ltd
Dwayne Lange has been in the Solar industry for 14 years and holds qualifications in Accounting and Management as well as an Electrical Trade. He also holds a full accreditation with the CEC for Off grid and Hybrid Design & Install.
Dwayne began work for the Electricity Trust of South Australia in 1986 until 1992 when he began part time Electrical Contracting whilst owning and operating IDE Services (Electric Wheelchair Manufacturing). In 1997 Dwayne began working for Pecan Engineering where he managed the Solar Energy Division. Then in 2003, Sunspot Solar acquired the Solar Division from Pecan Engineering in which Dwayne continued in his position until 2006 when Sunspot Solar merged with MPower Solar Systems. From 2006 Dwayne was in the position of Operations Manager at MPower Solar Systems until 2009 when he then went on to become Managing Director.
Brian O’Malley
General Manager – Sales & Marketing

Starting out as a qualified electrical technician, after completing an apprenticeship in Northern Ireland, Brian O’Malley went on to utilise his skills at the construction of the Torness nuclear power station in Scotland and the construction of an oil rig in the North Sea.
From 1988 to 1992 Brian operated his own company F.M.T Electrical services. Then in 1992 Brian was employed by SAFT/NIFE as an Applications Engineer and Technical Support. It was in 1995 that Brian began working in the capacity of Technical Sales for MPower Products Pty Ltd. After 5 years, Brian left MPower Products and was employed by Exide Technologies where he managed Exide’s Network Power Business activities in Australia and New Zealand as General Manager Australasia. In 2003 he moved on to become National Sales Manager at Enersys before returning to MPower Products in 2006 to take up his current position as General Manager – Sales & Marketing.
Billy Lavery
General Manager – New Zealand & Pacific Islands

From starting out as an Automotive Electrician, Billy Lavery went on to become a Registered Electrician for the Navy in which he was involved in battery and DC system maintenance. During his 15 years working for the Navy, Billy recognised gaps and began training programs for dockyard apprentices, through to naval officers, in the maintenance of batteries and DC systems.
In the early 90s Billy joined MPower Pacific as a Service Technician and then took on roles including Auckland Branch Manager, Auckland Operations Manager and National Sales Manager. From National Sales Manager, Billy then took up his current position of General Manager - MPower Pacific.
