APD1300 Military Diesel 1.3kW Battery Charger

Durability

Constructed for rugged conditions and developed to stringent military requirements for the Australian Army, the APD1300 has undergone comprehensive testing and survived extremes in temperature, humidity, salt laden atmospheres, vibration, and drop tests.

Power Output

The APD 1300 is a portable field deployable diesel generator capable of delivering 1.3 kW for any application in the harshest of environmental conditions. Output is switchable between nominal 14 V DC and 28 V DC, at selectable voltages to charge vented or sealed lead-acid batteries. Current delivery is 45 A continuous, 65A maximum.

Power Quality

The APD1300 provides exceptional power quality which exceeds the military requirements of QSTAG299 under all load conditions. Low ripple makes it ideal for supplying DC power as well as for charging 12 and 24 V batteries. Precise voltage regulation is achieved using digital technology to maintain the output voltage to within 1.0% of its preset value.

Portability

The APD1300 can be moved by one person, wheelbarrow fashion on its wheels, or lifted and carried by two people using the fold away handles.

Reliability

The microprocessor based control system has proven to be a most reliable method of regulating output voltage, displaying power values and monitoring all areas of the generator. If a fault occurs the equipment is shut down before any damage is caused. A diagnostic message appears on the control panel indicating what fault caused the shut down. A dependable diesel engine provides the highest efficiency and effortless starting.

Easy to Use

The APD1300 is easy to start using the engine decompression lever and manual recoil starter. The control panel gives readouts of Volts, Load % and Sealed or Vented battery charge mode in an LED digital display. The display has an auto off mode, or can be dimmed manually in tactical situations.

Maintenance

Modular design allows for rapid fault diagnosis and repair in the field by module replacement. Minimal servicing is required with scheduled maintenance only once every 100 hours. Non technical operators can perform all minor preventative and scheduled maintenance using only the tools supplied in the accessory box which also contains spare fuel and air filters, oil strainer, and the user manual. A complete workshop manual and spare parts book written to comply with DEF(AUST) 5629A is also available.
