MPower, Australia’s leading specialist renewable energy, battery storage and microgrid business, is pleased to announce the appointment of Amy Kean as a non-executive director, with effect from 1 September 2021.
Amy Kean has over 20 years’ experience in the renewable energy sector. She currently co-owns and operates renewable energy advisory firm Stride Renewables which assists clients in navigating the regulatory, commercial and technical challenges to unlock opportunities in renewable energy. In addition, she serves on the board of both LAVO Hydrogen Storage Technology and Blind Creek Solar Farm.
Prior to establishing Stride Renewables, Amy was extensively involved in numerous initiatives advocating for the use and investment into renewable energy. This includes working for the NSW Government Department of Planning, Industry and Environment as the Renewable Energy Advocate, and later as Director of Energy Infrastructure, Emerging Technologies and Energy Programs. She was instrumental in developing NSW’s renewable energy zones and the State’s emerging energy programs.
Amy’s recognition in the field of renewable energy has seen her receive the NSW Green Globe award for Public Sector Leadership, the Energy Minister's Leadership Award, and recognised for services to the Duke of Edinburgh Award from HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.
