MPower, Australia’s leading specialist renewable energy, battery storage and microgrid business, is pleased to announce that it has commenced final system commissioning on two 5MWac solar projects in South Australia that are located at Kadina and South Hummocks (see images below).
The commissioning phase is the final stage prior to the connection of the projects to the network and energisation of the solar farms. MPower commenced the design and construction of the two 5MWac solar projects in South Australia last year after executing contracts with Astronergy worth a combined value of approximately $9 million.
MPower has an active pipeline of new project opportunities in the tendering phase which, together with the recurring service and maintenance work, underpins continued growth in the Company’s revenue base.
MPower’s expertise in the planning, construction, commissioning and maintenance of 5MWac solar projects is at the core of the Company’s developing Build Own Operate strategy to create an initial portfolio of up to 20 renewable energy assets with an aggregate capacity of around 100MWac. The portfolio of renewable energy assets across several Australian states would have an estimated value of more than $150 million once fully constructed and operational.
