About Pirie Solar Farm
MPower delivered a full Engineering, Procurement and Construction wrap for a 5MW (6.1MWDC) solar farm developed by Renew Power Group Pty Limited in Port Pirie, South Australia.
Over 17,000 solar panels with single axis tracking technology produce enough electricity to power over 1,700 homes. The project demonstrates the continued rise of decentralised power generation and the growing emergence of renewable energy in Australia’s energy mix.
The tracking technology facilitates the movement of the solar panels to track the sun during the day, thereby maximising the power output of the solar farm.
Renew Power Group, based in Sydney, is the developer and owner of the Pirie Solar Farm.
